The WCIT is held every two years, each time on a different continent. As a sponsor, KPN/Getronics is involved in the themes: Energy, Mobility (The New Way of Working), eGovernment, eInclusion, and eHealth. The WCIT is attended by some two thousand top people from (ICT) industry, politics and science from over eighty countries. The central theme of this congress is Challenges of Change. Together, congress participants will explore which ICT applications can help promote global innovation in education, healthcare, energy and water, among others.
